Five-Element Institute of San Diego is looking for students who are looking deeper into their medicine and themselves. Introducing the Piercing the Truth: Acupuncture Studies.
The ideas of this book and class series are to go beyond the Science of medicine, and to fully exemplify the Spirit of medicine. To develop the inner qualities needed to be an effective healer.
My idea in creating this new book and class series was to assist in reawakening a spiritual consciousness within our healing community. I wanted to step beyond any perceived safety zone and explore, to plunge head first into the unknown, which I’ve discovered is the very realm of existence of the healer.
The Five-Element Institute educational experience is different.
It is based on the spiral approach to learning. In traditional Eastern education, the teacher is the guide who helps each student realize the wisdom inherent within. Our programs are for students who take personal responsibility for learning, students who are not only eager to learn academically, but who are also eager to learn through the senses, through their own personal progress, and through their relationship with all aspects of nature.

NEW CLASSES STARTING FEB 2009
This is a reminder of the classes starting in Feb 2009. I'm excited to be able to teach this information to students who are eager to learn. I know these classes are not for everyone. I provide them for those students who seek to understand more of the medicine, beyond what is currently taught in their school. There are no tests. This is not about a grade. But you will be challenged to look at the medicine differently from the test driven curriculum of Acupuncture college. I look forward to being your guide into the depths of the medicine! I'm excited to offer these classes and provide those students who want to be healers, not technicians, the tools and support they need to help others on a deeper level. I am excited to have the freedom and support to teach what should be taught, and isn't. I have worked hard to bring you two classes that I believe will excite you and inspire you.
Piercing the Truth: Cultivating the Healer is an exciting and inspiring class that will talk about ideas and philosophy of Chinese Medicine not discussed in Acupuncture colleges. Students have said it was highly motivational and inspiring. Does your Acupuncture school inspire you? Find the love of the medicine...once again! Develop the inner qualities needed to be an effective healer.

This is a class is about using ones imagination to set one free from their limitations, ultimately to discover a relationship with the Divine. This class is about experiencing an epiphany within your everyday life experience as a healer.
Needle Technique is the foundation of practicing the medicine. Go beyond the ordinary and learn vital methods to cultivate the Qi. This class will be supportive and highly instructional. I can only say you will be amazed at how much you are not being taught in Acupuncture school! This is a chance to learn techniques and theory not taught in Acupuncture schools in the USA. Although you will learn advanced techniques, it is suitable to first year students as well. You will learn in a supportive and relaxed environment. There are no tests, just education! This is a 7 week class, Sat 2:30-5:30 $150
