Patient as Healer

The treatment becomes a re-education process that leads to the spiritual and emotional development of the patient so that the necessity for symptom development is then abolished. It is a process which utilizes dynamic principles to bring about spiritual and emotional growth.

Part of this process is for the patient to understand:

·      We are our own worst enemy when we allow our subconscious conflicts to rule over our lives. Unfortunately, we are unaware of this process occurring.

·      We have the capacity to heal beyond our conscious understanding. Our ability to heal is virtually unlimited. It is we who place the limitations on ourselves and the power of the Healer.

·      By eliminating the conflicts within our mind, we can then redirect the subconscious in a positive way. Healing exists now, if one is receptive to it.

·      The thoughts you think become your experience. Develop an entirely new approach to life in order to make a new mental beginning.

·      Change your belief and you will change your experience. If you change your thoughts you will change your experience.

·      The conscious mind should give the orders that the subconscious obeys. If we don’t give it orders, it will assume what we want. Concentrated thought will direct the subconscious mind.

·      Write down your negative thoughts when you are aware of them, analyze the negative thoughts and translate them into their positive counterpart. Every feeling of guilt, every perceived sin, write them down when they come into consciousness. Turn them around and make them a point of self acceptance and not a point of self condemnation.

·      Instead of dwelling on the illness, work from the finished picture. Instead of thinking about your illness, give your whole attention to your perfect health.

·      Establish a new attitude and the subconscious mind will go to work for you to make the new attitude appear as your experience.

·      Do not fill your mind with the thought of fear and disease, but with health and gladness.

·      It is not a matter of finding yourself somewhere on a mountain top, but of uncovering the true self that is already there, here and now.

The patient must be willing to do the following:

·      There must be a desire to relinquish the old self.

·      There must be a desire to seek healing.

·      There must be a willingness to sacrifice and surrender.

·      There must be a realization that the patient and universe are aligned.

·      There must be a sincere willingness to descend into the mystery of the transpersonal mythical underworld of the subconscious.

·      There must be a grappling with hidden spiritual forces revealed through the descent into the subconscious.

·      There must be a realignment of Body-Mind-Spirit.

·      There must be a rebirth of a new unified and integrated self.

·      There must be a sustained effort for their unfolding realization.

The patient needs to enter and experience directly the spiritual consciousness in order to achieve That which heals.

It is the patient’s relationship with Nature that will determine their recovery, not the physician’s skill.
