In affiliation with Xiamen University, the Five-Element Institute will sponsor a 3 week symposium at XMU, April 2009. This will be a awesome learning expedition. Students will be immersed into a intensive study program.

Herbology Lectures (morning)
Wen Bing Xue Formula application
Treatise of Spleen and Stomach Pi wei Lun application
Infertility

Advanced Needle Technique
Point Combinations
Applying Channel Theory
Intern Shifts at school clinic (afternoon)

Lecture (evening)

This schedule is confirmed. Some minor changes may be made.

There will be morning classes, internship in the school clinic in the afternoon and evening lectures. On the weekends, students can journey to nearby sites, such as Wu Li mountain. It will be a fantastic experience to learn and for cultural exchange with Chinese Acupuncture students.

Xiamen is one of the most beautiful cities in China. It is very clean and does not have the pollution of northern cities. Xiamen is famous for its friendly people and food!

We are working on finalizing the cost. It will be in the area of 2500-2800 USD.  If you want to go on "fun" trips, or dinners off campus, this would be up to you. We want to keep the cost down as much as possible.

There is hotel styled lodging near campus. Dorm living is now restricted to full time students. This immersion into the intense work ethic of the Chinese student will be a life-changing experience.

It will also be very fun, safe and you will have a teacher with you through the whole process.

There will be several classes before the trip to help support your theory and needle technique which are included. Group dynamics are important. We will go as a group, learn as a group, even suffer and laugh as a group. Because space is limited, only those who are motivated and work well with others will be considered.

Stay tuned for more information! Send an e-mail if you are interested. Space is limited!!!
