New Year...
Posted January 1st, 2008 by allen_stovallIt's a New Year. For many this is a time to make resolutions for change. On this New Year, I have moved my office to 3678 4th ave, San Diego CA. to the "Bodhi Center". After spending 12-31-07 moving, it will be nice to sit back and watch some Tony Jaa movies!
This year will be exciting! I will be able to start my "Piercing the Truth" seminars as well as Advanced Needling Technique seminars. I will post dates as soon as I can! I have a week to finish the Advanced Needling Technique book...I better get busy on that! Happy New Year!

Smoking and Addiction Treatments
Posted December 30th, 2007 by allen_stovallI am asked quite often if I do "Smoking, Weight Control and Addiction" treatments. The answer is "Yes" and "No". Acupuncture or talk therapy can be used as adjunct therapies. Let me start by saying I have had success with these treatments. I have had one man stop smoking after only one treatment. Can I do this for everyone? NO! He was ready for change. Addictive behaviors can only be changed with the desire and acceptance of responsibility of the patient. Can I help in this process? YES!
Beware of Brand X...
Posted December 5th, 2007 by allen_stovallI'm sorry to say it, but I'm disappointed with a few people in my profession.
I'll call them Brand X. Beware, because there are more of them than you may think .
I'm disappointed because our medicine is so unique, so profound, so effective, yet a few have lost their way, their focus is on the dollar they will be making and not the patients they treat. The Nei Jing talks about this, but they didn't read it.
What is a Healer?
Posted December 1st, 2007 by allen_stovallPlato asked this very question, by asking one of his own.
"It will be better that I should ask you a question: Is the physician, taken in that strict sense of which you are speaking, a healer of the sick or a maker of money?"
"Piercing the Truth"
Posted September 30th, 2007 by allen_stovall"The use of Acupuncture is an ancient, yet profound and relevant technique of bliss. It is more than a technique to treat the body. The ideas and techniques described in this book are empirically validated, experientially operable techniques that produce bliss within the spirit.

Transpersonal Acupuncture
Posted September 16th, 2007 by allen_stovallThis Transpersonal Realm opens the healer to the study of humanity’s highest potential, and with the recognition, understanding, and realization of unity within the spiritual, and transcendent states of consciousness. The healer exchanges the normal everyday state of consciousness for an altered state of consciousness and more importantly, awareness.
The ultimate healing is freedom from spiritual ignorance. The inability of the Spirit’s expression within us is the root of all other ills.
