Allen was born in San Diego, CA. He was a professional musician at the age of 13. At the age of 15 he became a studio musician and freelance performer. Feeling a need and desire for public service, Allen later became a police officer. Allen was injured while on duty and his disabling injuries forced him to retire after 16 years of service. Allen began his graduate level education and became a Acupuncturist due to his positive experiences with Acupuncture for his chronic pain.
Allen is a writer, musician, author and healer.
